KAHRAMANMARAŞ ACADEMY STARTED

Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Hayrettin Güngör attended the opening event of Kahramanmaraş Academy. Züver Çetinkaya, Deputy Secretary General of the Metropolitan Municipality, academy staff and students attended the program held at the Seven Beautiful Men Literature Museum. Mayor Güngör, who opened the Metropolitan Academy, wished that the trainings would be beneficial to the cultural and artistic life of the city. Hayrettin Güngör, who also stated that there was an important demand for registry, stated that they were pleased with the interest.

Mayor Güngör said, “Our Metropolitan Academy said hello to the culture and art life with our 374 students in 12 different branches. We are very pleased with this interest. Our workshop trainings, which will provide the opportunity to have academically deep knowledge in different fields, will be carried out by our expert teachers and will provide a strong ground for the participants to read, analyze and make comparative evaluations. I hope this is only the beginning. With the contributions of both our trainers and students, the Metropolitan Academy will continue on its way by further developing.” Stating that the works will continue in order to make the cultural and artistic life of the city even more live, Metropolitan Mayor Hayrettin Güngör said, “This land has hosted important names of our world of thought. Our city, which is the capital of poetry and literature, will carry this leadership even further. As a metropolitan city, we started the UNESCO process of our city. We are working on our Cultural Development Action Plan. Hopefully, we will host the 1st International Kahramanmaraş Poetry and Literature Days next month. We are aware of the potential our city has. We will continue to work on introducing this potential and carrying it forward.”

Dr. Yakup Poyraz, History of Science Workshop with Prof. Dr. Orhan Doğan and Magazine Workshop with Duran Boz will be held.
