“Kutadgu Bilig Readings” organized by the Turkish Authors' Association Kahramanmaraş Branch on the occasion of the 950th anniversary of its writing has started.

The first lecture of the "Kutadgu Bilig Readings", organized in cooperation with the TYB Kahramanmaraş Branch, Suzan and Abdulhakim Bilgili Public Training Center and Karacaoğlan Provincial Public Library, was held at the Karacaoğlan Provincial Public Library, within the framework of the protocol signed by the Ministry of National Education General Directorate of Lifelong Learning and the Turkish Authors' Association. The first lecture of the reading program, which will be held at Karacaoğlan Provincial Public Library between 20 December 2019 and 24 April 2020, between 20 December 2019 and 24 April 2020, under the leadership of TYB Kahramanmaraş Branch Vice President and Kahramanmaraş Dulkadiroğlu Bağlarbaşı Imam Hatip Secondary School Deputy Principal Enver Çapar, started with the introduction part. After the participants introduced themselves, Fazlı Bayram, Head of the Kahramanmaraş Branch of the Turkish Authors' Association, made the opening speech. Pointing to the place and importance of Kutadgu Bilig in our civilization in his speech, Bayram expressed his satisfaction for contributing to reading this precious work. Stating that they will perform the reading program with the traditional response method, also known as 'fascicle reading', Branch Head Fazlı Bayram said that they are making an effort to revive a tradition on this occasion.

Project coordinator Enver Çapar gave speech on the content and execution of the program; Author Mehmet Raşit Küçükkürtül also gave speech on the place of Kutadgu Bilig in our culture, civilization and literature.

In the first lecture of the program, the work was recited by TYB Kahramanmaraş Branch Board Member Faculty Member Mehmet Yaşar.
