The "Literary Studies Application and Research Center" (EDEM), which was established within Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University in order to carry out active studies in the literary direction and to support all literary activities in our city, which is the "Capital of Poetry and Literature" starts its activities under the chairmanship of Assoc. Dr. Yakup POYRAZ.

The primary objectives of the center are to compile literary works in newspapers and magazines with literary, cultural and artistic content published in Kahramanmaraş, as well as the written and oral literary works of poets, writers and minstrels from Kahramanmaraş, to conduct scientific studies on these compiled products and to support these studies in terms of publication and to support the studies of undergraduate and graduate programs related to the activity fields of the center

Literary Studies Application and Research Center (EDEM) will publish periodicals in order to publish the literary/scientific studies of Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University academic and administrative staff and the students, will further its efforts to organize/contribute to the organization of national and international seminars, conferences, information feasts, congresses, television programs, courses, workshops, contests, incentive awards, literature festivals on the literary repertoire of Kahramanmaraş.

The Literary Studies Application and Research Center (EDEM) will also organize courses and workshops in fields such as creative writing, screenplay and ad writing, media literacy.
