The Winners Awarded in Painting and Poetry Contests

The awards were given to the winners of the painting and poetry contestss organized as part of the celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the liberation of Kahramanmaraş from the enemy occupation.

The awards were given to the winners of the painting and poetry contests held on the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the liberation of Kahramanmaraş from the enemy occupation. Mustafa Semerci, Director of the Culture and Tourism Branch, who came to the podium to make the opening speech at the award ceremony held at the Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Cultural Center, expressed that they were very pleased with the interest in painting and poetry contests organized throughout the country in order to convey the spirit of the National Struggle to future generations, and thanked everyone who sent works. Speaking later, Provincial Director of National Education Cemal Yılmaz stated that the people of Maraş, who acted with the spirit of the National Struggle 100 years ago, saved the city from occupation and added "We find such activities and events organized by our Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality in order to convey the spirit of the National Struggle to future generations very meaningful, we express our gratitude.”

 

After the opening speeches, the award ceremony started. The winners of poetry category recited their poems. The winners were presented their awards and a family photo was taken. After the ceremony, the painting exhibition named “Kahramanmaraş in its 100th Year, the Spirit of Independence”, which was created from the works sent to the painting competition, was held.
